Jason Middleton is CEO and co-founder of Silver Air, a private jet management and charter company based in Southern California. He founded Silver Air in 2008 as its first pilot with a vision for a client-centric and customer service-oriented management/charter company.
Leading Silver Air for the past sixteen years, Middleton has managed the company’s growth from a regional light jet operator to an internationally recognized brand with worldwide operations. He attributes his company’s continued growth and profitability to an unrelenting focus on service, attention to detail, communication, and transparency with aircraft owners. He has honed his drive, management style, marketing savvy, and competitive spirit from a lifetime of entrepreneurship and professional athletics.
Before entering the world of aviation, Middleton competed on an international stage from an early age, becoming a professional triathlete and racing his first Ironman at 15 years old. His experiences in multi-sport events, combined with a passion for exploration, led him into adventure racing—a sport that tapped mental as well as physical abilities.
Through more than two decades of competing individually and as captain of world-class teams, Middleton developed a management style as an inspirational leader and relentless competitor. Experiences—like leading a team of professional athletes (and egos) through the jungles of Borneo over 300 miles and 5 days with minimal food and sleep, relying solely on their own physical abilities—have given Middleton a unique perspective when dealing with partners, clients, and his team at Silver Air.
His racing success, combined with innate marketing prowess and sales savvy, earned Middleton sponsorship contracts with major national and international brands. His ability to thrive under intense physical and mental pressure garnered him international recognition in TV features and numerous magazine and newspaper articles as a spokesperson for his own brand, his sponsors, and his sports. Middleton lives with his family in Santa Barbara, California, where he continues to enjoy endurance sports and aviation.
